Treasure Design studio
In 2016 I worked along side treasure design studio.
following catwalk trends and moodboards i produced hand drawn artworks ready to be turned into beautiful hand embellishment samples and embroidered patches.
these hand embroidered patches then help make up cycled garments - found vintage garments in and around portobello road market adorned with quirky and interesting pieces to create new, eye catching pieces for the womenswear market.
Working in studios and head office
In Summer 2015 I gained some experience from internships in design studios - Amanda Kelly & Baxter Fawcett. These two week placements gave me an insight on what its like to be working in this fast pace industry. During my time here I was drawing, researching and analyzing, as well as attending sales trips and negotiating sales.
January 2017 I was on placement in marks and spencer, in the print department for womenswear. Here, I sat in on meetings from design studios and different departments to discuss designs and where collections are going. I also helped to create moodboards and draw elements and designs for found trends.
